[ obliviously, she smiles and nods, both to the servants comment and the introduction. If Ada had been in charge, there's no doubt all the servants would have been spoiled rotten - but her father wasn't quite as sweet as she was. Still, she and her brother had done a pretty good job pampering Gil.
I am more than willing to listen about how it is for you and explain what might be different, if you wish? It might provide a pleasant distraction from our situation.
I can't think of any other way. [That isn't using someone else as a test subject.] I imagine it's what the people who first wrote books about these things would have done.
[ This would probably be far more endearing if she didn't look so severely inconvenienced by this. Like a Disney princess that doesn't want these birds tittering at her, maybe.
